    Hi Tom,

Thank you for today's podcast. A few comments:

    On voice awareness...

This is one of my favorite exercises. I have been working with this for a awhile, and it brings insight into my actual state of being at any given moment. One thing I see is that there is an underlying hysteria that is running my life most of the time. I can see that most people I meet have that same force driving them. To work on this, I interrupt myself as often as I can remember and ask what is going on in my voice and in my body. There's that inner pressure.

Then there is an opportunity to breathe deeply, relax my grip on myself, and allow reality to go gently against the insanity.

I also appreciate what Fred said about how we are new every second, even if we are doing the same things over and over. There really is nothing to hold onto except the present, which is so difficult...we can only be here by letting go.

This teaching comes to us from so many different angles, it works in so many ways, I remain in awe of it all.

    With gratitude,
    Kelly

I was surprised when Tom said the some people are somewhat shy and cover it up by not talking and thinking that meant they were spiritual, as that described me. Now I know what I have to do. I even acused other of blabbing because I was silent. Thank you for the insight

    Hello!

In this podcast I felt you were talking directly to me!

I am the one in the group who is always filling the silent moments! I get so nervous when nobody is talking. I feel I need to say something funny to get the crowd going. Although I often succed in making the crowd laugh and have a good time, I feel like I could be much much more mindful in what I say.

Secondly, awarenesss was something I have experienced when I am by myself. When I am talking to others sometimes I feel I am posessed by something outside myself. Hope you can understand what I mean.

I will try these voice excersices, and hope it helps me.

Again thank you for your work!

    Jijo
