Thank you so much for this. As is all too usual for me, I have just spent the whole day at the bottom of a deep, deep well stuck in the mud of my own circular obsessions. You woke me up. I know from past experience I'll only manage to stay half-awake for a few minutes before I slip back into robotic slumber again, but it's a sweet taste of freedom, of life, so that's something gained. How do I hold onto it, though? How do I keep awake for more than a few moments at a time? And even when I think I know how, why do I allow myself to get so easily distracted, and how do I stop that? I feel like my mind is keeping me drugged or hypnotised, and most of the time I'm too overwhelmed to fight and come awake. So many thanks for sounding alarm calls that get through to me every now and then.
