#156: A) Awareness in Movement as the Doorway to Silence B) Staying Sane while Employed in the Insane Corporate World
Starting with a powerful example from the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, Tom and Fred explore movement as a doorway to silence. Taoism, Acupuncture and Tai Chi mentioned as examples of this ancient and profound discovery. The dialogue changes gears to discuss a powerful post on this website by Christine. See her post here. How does one stay sane and not whither inside while having to work in the corporate world?

I love the simplicity of this message. I feel that "silence in motion" can also be experienced in our household chores: straightening up, doing the dishes, gardening, feeding the kids, cooking dinner etc.
I also like what Fred said, about being an "Olympic person"! Reply to this

Recently I was with someone who has studied these matters for longer than me. A third person was sitting having lunch with us. When I mentioned something about these teachings the third person was curious and asked a few questions. After a few things were said, the third person said, 'but I believe... My friend simply said, "I've said enough," and ended the conversation. I thought this was a brilliant way to turn. Instead of defending or entering into an argument he just ended. He felt no need to continue to explain
My friend also said something shocking that has stuck with me. "The world would be a better place if I (ie. the ego) wasn't in it"
