Great metaphors guys! I love how you take something that one would never think could be spiritual and find so many connections! This method of metaphors has really helped me along the path. I find myself finding metaphors in just about everything nowadays. It is a great tool. It is definitely a war going on inside. Thank you.

Excellent podcast on profound spiritual lessons that can be taken from history - The American Revolution and The Declaration Of Independence. We are born to be free, and to enjoy the fruits of that freedom we must awaken to the petty tyrannies of tin-pot dictators desperately trying to pass themselves off as having authority over us, within us. In that very awakening, we overthrow them by taking our rightful place the throne. Thanks!

Thank you, Tom and Fred, for your wonderful podcasts. I read this book a few years ago - as I've always been attracted to this period of history - and am eager to now read it again in this light (regarding my own inner 'revolution'). I recently did the same with The Matrix movie (re-watched after listening to your podcast) and the connections were amazing - and fun! I sometimes get too serious inwardly on the quest so it's great to be reminded how fun this inner adventure can be! Like a giant puzzle or connect-the-dots.
Once again - thank you!

Wonderful to hear Lisa. Thank you for writing. Indeed, nothing is more fun than connecting the dots -- not being a follower or an adherent to a philosophy, even if it's the greatest one ever. But the engaging activity of bringing things together within yourself. (Tom)

Thanks, Tom.
I wanted to add earlier another really cool thing I heard regarding George Washington (if I remember correctly was on a tv series about the revolution) - at his lowest point in the war when it looked as if all was lost, he left the front and went home to simply walk in his orchards because, he explained, it was there answers would come to him. And of course, they did. I've always loved that image of a man realizing the quiet that saves him.
